On Sunday 28th April we will be running a free comic creating workshop.

VenueNora Grace Hall,  Faversham Close, Tring HP23 5BA

If you don’t know the area there is a Pay & Display car park very close by on Frogmore Street.

Parking on site is limited.

Arrive from 2.45pm.

Session starts at 3pm.

Finish 4.15pm approx.

Parents are welcome to go or stay, siblings welcome but please let me know their age & so that I can have enough places set out etc. If they are on the wee side they will need a parent with them.

You will need:

  • Pencil & rubber

  • A good black pen for inking your drawings

  • Coloured pens in case you finish and want to add some colour to your creations.

  • A drink in a bottle/ flask.

What we are doing:

We will be doing two activities of approx 30 mins each.

- A portrait (self portrait, someone on their table or a favourite character)

- A 3 panel comic

Both will use jokes as our text. We will look at how to compose a panel, lettering techniques and using facial expressions to aid story telling.

The session will be photographed and videoed to use for the promotional material for the new workshops for schools that I am launching. Please fill in the consent form, one per child, to say that you are happy for me to use images of your kids in the promo material.

We’ll also be taking photos of the kids with their work at the end and recording a quick feedback video with each child. If you’d like copies of pics, please let me know.

Parents if you are staying it would be great to get some written feedback from you too. You can do this on the day or drop me a line after.

Please download a FORM HERE, sign & either return a hard copy to me on the day or send a digital copy to info@pbccomics.com

If you haven't already got a copy of our all ages anthology "PBC Jr Vol #1" and would like one, you can get 10% off for taking part in a workshop, a bargain at £4.50! Copies available on the day, along with our colouring book of the art.

A card reader will be on hand!

Cheers,

Luke
